Belper Library: Laureate’s Library Tour Booking Update

Laureate's Library Tour Graphic on CrowdCast Events Page.

Monday 26th April 2021, 4.00-5.00pm | Free to book.

Join us online in the first week of the UK Poet Laureate’s 10-year adventure for this free live-streamed event from the new BELPER LIBRARY in Derbyshire.

Simon Armitage and award-winning guest poet Helen Mort, former Derbyshire Poet Laureate, will read their poems and tell brief stories around them, live and in-person on site in the Library.

Each spring for the next decade Simon Armitage will give poetry readings across the UK, from the flagship libraries of the big cities to smaller libraries serving rural and remote communities. Using the alphabet as a compass, his journey will celebrate the library as one of the great and necessary institutions.
