Timber Festival Sauna Experience – Spring Updates

While it seems the spring weather can’t make it’s mind up whether it’s coming or going at the moment, the chiffchaffs have returned from their migration and are filling the woods with a symphony of hope for warmer days!

And with the tease of the sun comes thoughts of the wellbeing offerings that Timber are bringing to the festival this year!

Scroll down to explore what they have programmed!

Fancy a sunset Sauna under the trees?

Try a unique wellness experience at Timber this summer with Fire and ice – A woodland sauna and ice plunge pool. Awaken your senses with a wood-fired sauna as you splash cool water on hot stones, creating löyly (the Finnish word to describe the sauna steam). Then after you’ve been sweating it out in the sauna, take a dip in the ice plunge pool to experience a full body wellness-buzz.

A wealth of wellbeing offerings

Stretch your body and centre your mind in the dappled forest light. Shivelight is the area at Timber where you’ll find yoga, tai-chi, mindfulness and other wellness workshops.

Programmed for this year:

Breathwork – Breathe deeply and expand mind, body and soul in a breathwork session among the trees.
Sound Bath – Karolina Kozera from Surya Yoga & Sound will lead a sound meditation healing session at this year’s Timber Festival.
Yoga – Elly will be returning for her fifth year teaching Yoga at Timber Festival. Her style of yoga is dynamic and flowing but accessible for all abilities and level of experience.
Meditation – Come along and find some inner peace in a relaxing, connecting and calming meditation session.
Sunrise Yoga and Meditation – Come along at 7am and shake your ‘tent face’ free, grab a coffee after and move into a joyous festival weekend.
Ecstatic Dance – Ecstatic dance is a free form of dance with the goal to achieve a natural state in which your awareness shifts and you get to experience a meditative and happy state of mind through body movement.
The Wellbeing Wagon – Circularity – Returning to Timber this year by ‘Circularity’ –  a collective of beautiful humans who are all about creative compassionate and collaborative communities.

Thinking of walking to Timber?

With sustainability at the heart of Timber, they are always thinking about the environment and how to mitigate their impacts. Timber By Foot challenges you to walk (or run!) to the festival instead of coming by car.

As well as being a healthy way to travel and a chance to soak up the great outdoors, walkers get extra incentives for choosing feet over wheels. Whether you’re 5, 25 or 55 miles away, with friends or solo, walking or running, they’d love you to take up the Timber By Foot challenge!

This year the Timber By Foot Challenge is supported by Blundstone.
