Buxton International Festival Announces Details Of The 2025 Festival

As we look forward to summer, Buxton International festival have some further announcements about our 2025 Festival (10 – 27 July). Here’s a sneak peek at some of the performances and events you can look forward to:

• Opera: Five opera productions including Ambroise Thomas’ Hamlet, conducted by Adrian Kelly with the Orchestra of Opera North
• Shorts: Discover innovation in opera with four brand new 20-minute works by talented composers Jasper Dommett, Martin Green, Thanda Gumede and Carmel Smickersgill.
• Music: Daily performances from world-class artists including Steven Hough, Imogen Cooper, Benjamin Grosvenor, The Tallis Scholars, English Concert, Simon Keenlyside, and Dame Sarah Connolly.
• Book Talks: 33 engaging book talks featuring speakers such as Diane Abbott MP, Baroness Lola Young, Petroc Trelawny, Ben Macintyre, and Jonathan Sumption.
