This community-based initiative hopes to revitalise a public underpass and the platform areas at Mansfield Railway Station, Nottinghamshire by installing some public artworks. The selected artist(s) will work in partnership with First Art, Robin Hood Line Community Rail Partnership and Sutton Road Primary School.
Expressions of interest are welcomed from all visual art disciplines.
The artist must develop a short series of arts-based participation workshops that will both inform and inspire participants to engage in the arts and use the railway. The outcome of the workshops should be the generation of ideas and inspiration for the main themes of the final artwork(s).
