We’re launching two consultations because we want your views on both our support for people who are autistic and/or have learning disabilities, and how we support older people to live independently.
Learning disability support
You’ll be able to have your say on our proposals to change some day services so that people with learning disabilities and/or who are autistic can lead the lives they choose to.
The plans recognise that everyone has the potential to be an active part of their community, leading safe, fulfilling lives with as much independence as possible and equal access to opportunities including social and leisure activities, housing, jobs, training, volunteering, health, and transport.
Independent living services for older people
We’re going to consult on proposals to re-design our Older People’s Independent Living Service so that we can provide support equally across the county, and promote independence, rather than dependence.
