Applications for Adult pantomime ensemble members’ auditions are open now!

For the first time, local performers, whether graduated or still training, who are interested in treading the boards as part of our Adult Ensemble in Cinderella at Derby Arena, can attend an open audition day.

The award-winning Little Wolf Entertainment who partner with Derby LIVE in producing pantomimes at Derby Arena are looking for local talented performers to join the company as ensemble members, appearing on stage at Derby Arena in December.

Morgan Brind and Alan Bowles from Derby based Little Wolf Entertainment said:

“We are hugely excited to bring open Adult Ensemble auditions to Derby Arena for this year’s production of Cinderella. This is the first time we have been able to hold open call adult ensemble auditions. Having previously run open calls for the Junior Ensemble, we are pleased to offer a platform for performers, who are currently undertaking or have completed performance-based training and are looking for the perfect pantomime role.”

Ensemble members will dance and sing, appearing as a wide range of supporting characters and in some cases, understudy lead roles. Auditions are open to anyone 18 and over. However, applicants must have strong dance skills, as this is a key part of the role.

Being part of Adult Ensemble is a great opportunity but involves a lot of hard work and commitment and is a full-time position. You must be able to attend every rehearsal and performance. The position is paid with allocated days off. To participate, you will need to be free for both rehearsals and performances from Mon 18 Nov–Tue 31 Dec. The award-winning team at Little Wolf Entertainment alongside Derby LIVE, have been bringing the magic of pantomime to Derby Arena for the past eight years. Well-known for their stunning productions, with glittering sets and costumes, the chance to be in Cinderella is not to be missed.

Adult Ensemble auditions will be held at Derby Arena on Mon 2 Sep. Applicants will need to register online. The audition will consist of a dance call in the morning and an invited singing call in the afternoon. Please bring sheet music, no backing music will be accepted.

Cinderella is at Derby Arena Fri 6 -Tue 31 Dec. Tickets are now on sale with ticket prices ranging from £30 to £19. Save £1 per ticket if you book before 31 May and take advantage of our early bird prices. Concessions are available along with BSL, relaxed, audio described and captioned performances.
