Radical Souls Curatorial Tour

Join FORMAT Curator & Coordinator Niamh Treacy for an in-person tour and talk about the FORMAT23 exhibition Radical Souls. This informative talk will see Niamh delve into the works on display and discuss her curatorial overview.

Radical Souls, which features artists Cecelia Bengolea (Argentina), Dele Adeyamo (UK), Luciana Demichelis (Argentina) and Volta Yang (China) explores how dance, in its limitless forms, is used as a revolutionary tool for expressing self-identity, freedom and communicating experiences which transcend the abilities of spoken language.

Young FORMAT Exhibition Extended

 

 

Our Incredible FORMAT23 Young FORMAT Exhibition has been extended until Sunday 27 August.

Curated by QUAD Education Team and Young Advocates the Young FORMAT Exhibition is a collection of work created by children and young people from QUAD’s Education Programme. From dedicated projects with artists and photographers to the selected submissions of our open call, the work explores what photography can be through a myriad of themes and media.

Young Format includes work produced by QUAD’s Young Creatives, students from Burton College, Pear Tree Community Junior School, Horizons Sixth Form and Derby Moor Academy.  Also featured are the selected submissions from QUAD’s Young Advocates Open Call, curated by young people, with those exhibiting aged from 6 to 25.
