Derby Museums is currently calling out for applications for two artists/ makers in residence to be based at the Museum of Making in Derby from April-September 2023.
The six-month residences aim to provide emerging practitioners with the space, time and support needed to develop their creative practice, whatever stage of their career. The successful artists/ makers will have the opportunity to develop their individual practice in a shared studio space at the Museum of Making in Derby with access to the Museum’s Workshop. The residency opportunity also comes with a small stipend for materials and resources, advice and mentor support.
The Space to Grow Residency is for new and emerging artists and makers, working in any discipline. Individual freelance artists and makers in the first three years of their creative career, who live in Derby and Derbyshire, are invited to apply. Deadline for submissions is Wednesday 15 March 2023.
