After the huge success of BBC Radio Derby’s make a blanket, we are continuing the knit and natter sessions this new year. Join a vibrant group of people, whatever skill level you are we provide a space where you can meet new people, share stories, knit together, learn new techniques from each other and even grab some great refreshments from our Café.

Award-winning charity to manage Derby’s community libraries

A multi award-winning social enterprise has been appointed to run Derby's community libraries. Sporting Communities, a community development organisation, will create a Trust to operate the city’s non-statutory library service. The organisation has agreed leases with the Council, who will provide a financial support package to operate the community libraries.

Exciting Updates for Dark Peak Photo Festival

Dark Peak Photo Festival have had over 3500 visitors across Victoria Hall and The Old Brewery Space this year, received over 250 applicants for the open call, and displayed photography by 200 photographers across both venues in Glossop. Retail and hospitality businesses also reported a marked increase in footfall on the high street. Additionally, 189 people took part in walks and workshops.
