Hampi: Photography and Archaeology in Southern India

Photographs, capturing the archaeological UNESCO World Heritage site of Hampi between 1857 and 1970, are on display at the British Library as part of our India/UK Together Season of Culture. Hampi, where the Hindu kingdom Vijayanagara (‘City of Victory’) established its capital around 1336, continues to attract worshippers and tourists. You can visit until 22 January.
