The Dancing Through Time team want to hear from you!
Join Format International Photography Festival for the Dancing Through Time – Were you there? exhibition in QUAD Gallery 1, highlighting the vibrant clubs, venues and music social scenes in Derby in the 1960s, 70s, and 80s. This heritage archive exhibition invites you to share your experiences or those of people you know from this dynamic era.
Were you part of memorable gigs or DJ nights? Do you have photographs, artefacts, ticket stubs, or clothing from that time? They want to see them!
The exhibition showcases contributions collected from community groups throughout Derby and Derbyshire, revealing the rich cultural heritage of the region. This project, funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, thanks to Lottery players, emphasises the importance of preserving these memories for future generations
Throughout the exhibition run, we will host community activities to further engage with the history and significance of Derby’s past. Stay tuned for updates on our website and social media!
