Working mainly in acrylics, Arwyn enjoys painting the countryside surrounding the Derbyshire Peak, employing colour to reinforce those first impressions which catch our gaze by accentuating natural forms – particularly elements caught in a play of light – with a characteristic heightened sense of depth. Recent work includes more abstract and geometric canvases. Arwyn was a teacher for 35 years, specialising in art, and his work is found in several galleries.
