I am a Theatre Director, Script Writer and Drama facilitator in a workshop environment, who graduated from Goldsmiths College University of London with a First Class Honours BA in Drama and Theatre Arts. Since studying I have travelled around the world, enriching my work with a knowledge of an array of different cultures, and have developed my freelance career in the East Midlands. Previous work includes leading workshops for Shakespeare 4 Kidz, Junction Arts, Mansfield Palace Theatre, Lakeside Arts Centre and Broxtowe Borough Council, Assistant Directing for the Nottingham Playhouse, New Perspectives Theatre Company and developing my own writing for performance. My education workshops focus on developing imagination, acting skills, speaking and listening skills, team building, movement and sound, spacial awarenes and presentation skills through storytelling, masks, puppetry, improvisation, devising, script writing, and through exploring different styles and genres. I can adapt work to compliment the topics and subjects studied in a school environment, or to meet the needs of each group/project and age range in an exciting, dynamic way which will challenge, and encourage independence of thought and development of ideas and way of working.
