I am sitting in my second home in Crete sweating, trying to finish editing my novel set in Crete … I don’t expect sympathy.

I’ve just led a Zoom session with a wonderful group of women poets from Derbyshire and Sheffield. The group is called The Living Line and has been running for 10 years in Grindleford, currently on Zoom. Feel free to enquire if you’d like to give us a try: warning, you may become addicted, it’s a very productive session!

I’ve published 5 collections of poetry, but written little since I’ve been working on the novel this year. Yesterday I burst into verse – watch this space.

  • Writing poetry, literary fiction, reviews and articles. Some of my published work defies genre, eg Artemis, The People's Priestess is a book length dramatic verse re-imagining of the myth of Artemis and Apollo. Recommended.
