Artist profile

Kathryn Cooper

Visual artist based in Nottingham. Kathryn Cooper investigates unmapped systems, services and movement of materials from an individual’s point of view and creates experiments to see what is possible. She has a lively, absurdist approach to the world, which is driven by a hope that Utopia can be found through problem solving. Currently AA2A artist in residence at the University of Derby. Kathryn devises workshops and outreach projects at galleries, schools, hospitals and arts organisations including Tate Britain, The Hayward Gallery and Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
