Artist profile
I am a mixed media artist working from my little green ‘shedio’ in the garden. I work in a wide variety of different media, but gelli printing forms the basis for almost everything I do – from original monotype gelli prints to the collage papers in my mixed media landscape paintings.
Working on board and paper I’ve developed a semi-abstract, layered technique using acrylic paint and my own gelli printed collage papers. I then work into these layers with crayons, pens and other mixed media for detail. My work is continually inspired by my local area or inspiring places I have visited. I’m a sucker for a rocky beach or sweeping path.
I run workshops throughout the year at the Long Eaton Art Room, in the fun process of gelli printing, collage and mixed media. I’m also available for school and private workshops.
