High Peak Orchestra is a Symphony Orchestra based in the High Peak district. We meet regularly on Monday evenings at 8.00 pm at the Mechanics Institute in Whaley Bridge. We perform concerts three times a year, mainly in Buxton, New Mills, and Chapel-en-le-Frith. New string players are always welcome, and there are occasional vacancies for wind and brass players. The orchestra is noted for its 
friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We support several local charities.
