Arts Derbyshire

Artist profile

Elaine Lim-Newton Ceramics, Workshops, Design.

I create contemporary ceramic sculptures and homewares inspired by flower forms, architectural elements and my own East Asian cultural influences. Each piece is hand-built from stoneware and porcelain clays, with hand carved elements and repeating patterns. A love of colour inspires the glazes, slips and underglazes used to decorate and enhance each sculpture.

Please visit my website to see information on my current events and my online shop:

Join me at my signal box studio or at your own premises for fun and inspiring ceramics and sculpture workshops. These workshops can be for individuals, private groups, schools, hospitals and other community settings throughout the UK. You might want some one to one tuition to learn how to make ceramic sculptural pieces, have a team building away day or want something different for a birthday party the options for a workshop are many!  please contact me for further information.
