Derby Museum & Art Gallery holds a series of vibrant visual art exhibitions each year in its three temporary galleries. Exhibitions in 2006 have included abstract art, work from the Fine Art Collection, photography, children’s art and an installation. Each Autumn the Museum holds the Derby City Open art competition, open to all artists in the Midlands, attracting a high quality of work and offering attractive prizes.
