Arts Derbyshire

Artist profile

Amanda Whewell

I work with pre-used textiles to produce thought-provoking work of my own and within group projects. The work explores issues concerning environmental, economic and social sustainability. I currently work primarily in schools but am also interested in collaborative projects with other bodies such as museums, libraries or heritage sites. I would like to continue working with both children and adults of all abilities I am interested in supporting people to take some time out to make something good from something discarded which will hopefully have a positive effect on their wellbeing.
