Alice Harman

Alice Harman is an author who has written more than 50 traditionally published children’s books, mostly non-fiction, about everything from art to outer space! She loves writing fun, thoughtful books that make big ideas feel exciting and easy to understand.

Alice’s books have been translated into 15 languages, nominated for the UKLA and Blue Peter Book Awards, and featured in publications such as the New York Times. She has written books for world-famous organisations including the Louvre, the Met, the Science Museum and the Centre Pompidou. She has also created content for games, apps, online learning and resources for charities and other organisations, and written scripts – including for the official Tate Kids video for the Tate Modern’s blockbuster Cézanne exhibition in 2022.

Alice regularly gives talks and runs workshops at schools, libraries and arts festivals, and it’s one of her favourite things about being an author! She loves seeing kids get excited about reading, writing and all sorts of fun non-fiction subjects, from art and nature to science and wellbeing. Alice is also an editor and author coach, helping other writers develop their own brilliant books.
