Mairead Rutter O’Connor is a contemporary dance artist based in Leeds specialising in choreography and directing. After training at NSCD for 4 years she has developed a clear artistic voice and creative practice. Her work is extremely fun, maximalist and subtly political. She is deeply curios and incredibly open, attracted to all things wild and wonderful. She continually looks at ways to push originality with a heavy focus on chance and its capabilities to produce mind boggling scenarios. Her work is made for escapism, to take the audience to another world where possibilities are shifted.
