Artist profile
Becky Handley (she/her) is an artist and writer based in Derbyshire, UK.
Always knowing she had a creative drive, she re-entered education at the age 26 and has never looked back. During her time at university, she not only discovered the full potential of her creativity, she also found a great love for writing.
Her first book ‘I want to be here’ launched at the end of June and is made up of poetry, photography, painting and collage. The book looks at her struggle with mental health but is filled with hope and love as she is using its publication to place a full stop under her past. Leaving the darkness of the past behind and looking forward to a bright future in which she no longer holds herself back.
