The Parish Church, Old Glossop, SK13 7RU Oscar Bowen-Hill, tenor Naomi Atherton, french horn Viv McLean, piano Benjamin Powell, piano Join us for an enchanting evening of music as some of the UK’s finest classical musicians come together in the beautiful surroundings of Glossop Parish Church. We are delighted to welcome back the festival’s president, internationally acclaimed pianist Viv McLean, alongside rising young tenor Oscar Bowen-Hill, Naomi Atherton (principal French horn of both Manchester Camerata and the Northern Chamber Orchestra), and Glossop’s own concert pianist Benjamin Powell. The programme will feature Beethoven’s heartfelt ‘Les Adieux’ Sonata and Benjamin Britten’s remarkable Serenade for tenor, horn and piano, alongside evocative music by Edvard Grieg and Messiaen. We will wrap up with a selection of festive favourites to get you into the Christmas spirit. A wonderful opportunity to enjoy world-class musicianship and celebrate the season through music. Those who have joined the GMF Friends will be able to take advantage of reserved seats towards the front of the church, as a token of our appreciation for their support of Glossop Music Festival. Friends — please email to reserve your seats. |
