“Rest Ye Merry”

Event details

You’re invited to escape the frenzy of Christmas preparations for a warm and restful afternoon in Belper Unitarian chapel, to hear music and song with a seasonal winter and Christmas theme. Belper Recorder Players will perform a variety of both traditional and modern music – some of which may be new to you and some of which you will be humming along to! The Amber Valley Quire will sing rousing carols from the Village carols traditions of North Derbyshire & South Yorkshire -including some from old Unitarian chapel manuscripts- with instrumental accompaniment.

Date: Saturday 5th December
Time: 2 pm – 4.30 pm including a refreshments interval.
Venue: Belper Unitarian chapel, Field Row, Belper DE56 1DH A map showing the chapel’s location and nearby parking can be found by scanning the QR code, or go to: https://www.belperunitarians.org/contact/
Access: There are no steps into the chapel.
Tickets: No need to book in advance; admission is by donation – we’re suggesting £10 for an adult and £2 for a child up to 18 years – but we’ll be happy with you paying what you can afford. All profits will go to the chapel upkeep.

A ‘Belper 250’ event.
