Your tutor, Angela Simpson, is looking forward to welcoming you and guiding you through a fun, laughter‑filled day of bringing your gonk to life. You’ll choose from a variety of colourful felts and design a gonk that’s totally personal to you … or create one in a ‘loved one’s’ favourite colours if you’re planning to gift-your-gonk.

What You’ll Create

• A needle‑felted gonk with a circular wooden stand
• A glorious beard made from wool locks
• A hat shape of your choice, decorated exactly as you wish
• A distinctive shaped nose peeking from underneath the hat

You Will Explore

• How to shape and sculpt wool using needle felting techniques
• Safe use of felting needles, including wooden handles for easier grip
• Adding personality and character to your gonk
• Working with wool locks for texture
• Colour choices and playful design ideas

This Workshop Is Perfect For

• Beginners or more experienced crafters
• Anyone who enjoys gentle, hands‑on creativity

No experience is needed. If you can manage basic crafting skills such as holding a pencil, you can hold a felting needle. Needles are sharp, so there is a small risk of pricking your finger … but you can take breaks whenever you need, and wooden handles are available for comfort.

Workshop Details

• Time: 10am – 4pm
• Arrival: From 9:30am for a warm welcome and a cuppa
• Group Size: Limited to 8 people for a friendly, supportive atmosphere

Cost

£50 + £1.02 card fee. This includes all the materials needed to create your needle‑felted gonk and refreshments during the day.
