Your tutor, Jane, is, once again, looking forward to welcoming you on this beginners modern calligraphy workshop and guiding you step by step as you explore modern calligraphy techniques! Feedback from a previous crafter: “It was an excellent session. A whole day is better than a half day” Anne S.

What You’ll Do

During this hands-on workshop, you will:

• Learn to hold and control calligraphy pens and nibs

• Practise modern calligraphy strokes using ink and metallic paints

• Understand how different nibs and inks affect your writing

• Create a personalised wreath sample to take home

• Gain confidence and tips to continue your calligraphy journey

The focus is on mindful, relaxed learning and creating something beautiful.

No prior experience is needed. You just need a steady hand and a willingness to enjoy the process.

What to Bring

Please bring:

• Any previous calligraphy tools you’ve tried (Jane can give advice)

• Some coins if you wish to purchase nibs or inks on the day

• Reading glasses if needed

• Enthusiasm to enjoy your creative experience

Workshop Details

Full Day: £66.50 + £1.27 card fee

• 10:00am – 4:00pm (doors open 9:30am)

Half Day: £36 + 80p card fee

• Morning: 10:00am – 12:45pm

• Afternoon: 1:15pm – 4:00pm (arrive 12:45pm)

Group size: Limited to 10 people for a friendly, small-group experience
