What's on
Hubbub Theatre continues their movement-based inclusive Dance Development activity with Continual Professional Development Training sessions for dance and movement artists, training professionals or students at the Chapel Street venue.
In September, Usha Mahenthiralingam presents a session called ‘Body as Home, Body as Compass’ which explores movement, embodiment and Creative Wellbeing. In this experiential workshop, interdisciplinary artist and somatic movement practitioner Usha offers a hands-on exploration of how simple movement patterns can support our structural awareness, regulate nervous systems and nourish our capacity to learn, create, and connect. Drawing on her practice in somatics, developmental movement and work as a creative mentor with children and communities in primary health and education; Usha includes movement, creativity and a light touch of neuroscience in an accessible, inclusive session designed for creatives, therapists, educators, health, social care professionals.
Usha Mahenthiralingam Body as Home, Body as Compass takes place on 15th September from 10am to 4:30pm. The full day session is £50 per person with concessions available.
Hubbub’s Dance Development Project aims to support professional dance and movement artists in developing their inclusive practice and develop diverse leadership, supported by grant funding from Arts Council England.
