Your tutor, Jennifer, is looking forward to welcoming you and sharing her creative, practical approach to stained glass making using the Tiffany copper‑foil method.

What You’ll Do

• Learn to score and cut glass safely and confidently
• Practise cutting techniques using float glass before starting your design
• Choose from a range of templates to create one or two sun catchers
• Cut, grind and copper‑foil your glass pieces ready for assembly
• Solder your design into a finished sun catcher
• Enjoy a full, creative day learning a traditional craft in a friendly, supportive space

You Will Explore

• Using stained glass tools for cutting, breaking and shaping glass
• Working with colourful art glass to create light‑catching designs
• Copper foil technique step by step
• Safe soldering skills for joining your pieces
• How to build confidence through hands‑on practice and guided demonstrations

This Workshop Is Perfect For

• Those wanting to learn a new skill in a relaxed, supportive environment

No experience is needed. If you can hold a pencil, focus, and follow simple steps, you’ll be absolutely fine. Jennifer will guide you through each step with patience, clarity and encouragement.

What to Bring

• Reading glasses if needed

• Your lunch, or money to buy food locally

• Closed‑toe shoes (essential for safety)

• A lidded water bottle or travel mug

• Any plasters you prefer if you have allergies

Most importantly, bring your curiosity and enjoy the process.

Workshop Details

• Time: 10am – 4:00pm
• Arrival: From 9:30am for a warm welcome and a cuppa
• Group size: Limited to 6 people for a friendly, supportive atmosphere

Cost

£85 + £1.55 card fee. This includes all the materials needed to create your stained glass sun catcher(s) and refreshments during the day (excluding lunch).
