Art in the Octagon

Event details

‘Art in the Octagon’ is an opportunity to meet the cream of artists & makers based in and around the High Peak area and see them demonstrate their work.

This annual art extravaganza is organised by the High Peak Artists group who operate Gallery in the Gardens at the Pavilion Gardens, Buxton.

Once a year the group mount this special event in the adjacent Octagon Hall, where visitors can actually meet the artists and see them demonstrate their art & craft on their stands.  Up to 30 artists & makers take part and this year they are joined by several special guests – artist/illustrator Clare Allan from New Mills and husband & wife creative duo Rob & Sally Wilson, who run a gallery in Whaley Bridge.

Come along and chat to the artists, be inspired by demonstrations of oil, acrylic & watercolour painting, silk painting, wood turning, peg weaving, photography, printmaking, ceramics, jewellery making, felt making and lots more.

Pick up a flyer listing the exhibitors in the Pavilion Gardens, Buxton & Bakewell Tourist Information Centres and many other local galleries and visitor centres or for more details visit our website.
