Introduction to Silversmithing Workshop with Louise Mary Designs

Event details

Spend a day in the studio getting creative being introduced to the wonderful craft of silversmithing.

On this one day course you will receive step-by-step tuition in classes of no more than 2 people in a friendly, relaxed environment. I will teach you a set of basic traditional silversmithing skills, including how to cut, file, form, solder and polish silver to create your silver jewellery(s).

You will make and finish at least one piece of silver jewellery on this course, depending upon how complicated your designs are. The day will be flexible so you could make any of the following: rings, bracelets, bangles, pendants, earrings or any combination of these. You’ll leave the workshop with pieces to wear and treasure, as well as a new set of skills which can be applied to future projects.

This silver jewellery making workshop is held in my cosy studio within the historic Sharpe’s Pottery Museum in Swadlincote in South Derbyshire. (The postcode is DE11 9DG). Find out more and book your place via my website.

Workshop times 10am-3pm. Full Day Course.
