Heritage Stained Glass Course, Hayfield

This hands-on weekend workshop is a gentle introduction to traditional leaded stained glass. You’ll learn how to cut glass, shape your pieces and assemble them into a finished panel using traditional leading, soldering and cementing techniques. Guided throughout, you can follow one of the provided designs or add your own ideas, working at your own pace in a relaxed and supportive setting. By the end of the course, you’ll have your own stained glass panel to take home.

The course is suitable for complete beginners and no experience is needed. All tools, materials and safety equipment are provided, along with tea, coffee and biscuits, just bring a packed lunch. Please note the course involves lead and is not recommended for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. The workshop takes place at Bank Vale Mill in Hayfield, an inspiring creative space on the edge of the Peak District.
