Derbyshire Makes Festival – Private Event In Conversation with Matt Pang

Derbyshire Makes Festival – Private Event
In Conversation with Matt Pang
Friday 17th April | The Rectory, Chesterfield | 7pm – 9pm

As part of Derbyshire Makes Festival, we’re hosting a special private evening at The Rectory featuring Matt Pang – artist, designer and creative thinker known for his bold visual language, playful interventions and socially engaged practice.

Join us for an intimate “In Conversation” event where Matt will share insights into his creative journey, the ideas that drive his work, and the role of making in shaping culture, place and identity. We’ll explore process, experimentation, collaboration, and what it means to create work that connects with people and communities.

This informal and thought-provoking discussion will include audience Q&A, followed by time to connect over food and drinks.

Matt will also be performing his acclaimed Thingamabob show on Saturday 18th April in Chesterfield Town Centre as part of Derbyshire Makes Festival — offering audiences a chance to experience his work live in action across the weekend.

As we continue bringing The Rectory back into community ownership, we’re proud to host conversations that celebrate creativity, craftsmanship and the power of making.

This is a private festival event. Limited capacity. Advance booking essential.
