Introduction to Patchwork @ Our Crafty Place

Event details

The Workshop

Your tutor, Julie, is looking forward to meeting you and says: “This is a beginners introduction to English paper piecing patchwork using hand stitching to create your patchwork pattern. We will start by making templates, choosing fabrics and making samples. Then, after lunch, we will use the skills we’ve learnt to make a patchwork pincushion and discuss going on to make a quilt.”

What to bring on the day?

Anticipation to enjoy the whole experience!

Specific to this workshop:

  • If you have some fabric that is special to you and would like to incorporate it into your patchwork please bring it along. • Reading glasses if you need them.
  • Please bring your own lunch or some money to buy something from either the hot-food hut nearby or the small local Asda.
