Artist profile
My current art practice explores light in darkness and expressions of history within the context of the Barn using installations of text, photography, film and digital media. There are twists and turns in being an artist and teacher (often an art form in itself) like the murmuration of a cloud of starlings. And therein lies the intrigue. The magic. I am Artist in Residence with the Dronfield Heritage Project at DronfieId Hall Barn and have an MA in Arts Practice and Education (with distinction) from Birmingham School of Art. I have presented artists talks at the Tate Liverpool, the Centre for Fine Art Research BCU, and Birmingham and Midlands Institute for the National Society for Educators in Art and Design. I teach all forms of art including drawing, painting, photography, digital media and sculpture together with art history.
