NON-PRESCRIPTIVE is Arts Derbyshire’s Living Newspaper – the first edition was published in July 2025 and printed 2,000 copies circulated, alongside the digital version which is freely available to access online. Whilst the newspaper is targeted at those who work with/within social prescribing and the primary care network, there’s an abundance of interesting content that can inspire and educate more broadly on the work that is going on across medicine, arts, culture, sports and beyond to support non-medical approaches to health and wellbeing.
This month, we would like to spotlight an article written by Katie Smith, Tink Therapy. As we enter a new year, and let’s face it, January can often be a bleak, anticlimactic month, this article focuses on how to understand and cope with stress – focusing on our responses to it and giving some useful tips on Creative Restorative Rest to help avoid burnout.
