Artist profile
I am based in South Derbyshire where I walk every day collecting natural materials to use in my work such as bark, feathers, twigs and thorns. I use simple techniques of stitching, tying, weaving and assembly to create vessels, collage and small sculptures. I exhibit in galleries and Craft Fairs in the UK and run a regular programme of workshops in galleries, at home and in health care settings. I aim to celebrate the beauty to be found in the countryside and hope to encourage others to take time and observe nature.
