Artist profile
I am a performance maker, facilitator and coach based in Derbyshire.
My artistic practice is interdisciplinary spanning live performance, movement and theatre. My work is playful and fun and is made in collaboration with the people I am working with. Participation is at the heart of everything I do. I am a highly experienced artist facilitator having spent the last 30 years making theatre with people in community and theatre settings. I deliver ongoing projects alongside specific commissions to co create work with others. My work is accessible and joyful and I hold onto the idea that theatre can change lives in the way it changed mine. I create safe spaces where everyone can be themselves and where people can experiment together.
I deliver regular projects for the Royal Exchange Theatre (Manchester), Sheffield Theatres and The Level Centre (Derbyshire). I have worked with experimental theatre company Forced Entertainment (Sheffield) and women affected by the criminal justice system at Clean Break (London). In April 2025, I wrote and performed my own solo show Dry Bits about menopausal rage. Following a sell out work in progress sharing at Sheffield Theatres, I am doing a Northern tour in Spring 2026 with participatory offer attached.
Alongside my artistic practice I am an accredited coach and runs my own creative coaching business offering one to one sessions at the Treatment Space in Derbyshire, online, by phone or through ‘walk and talk’ sessions in the beautiful Peak District National Park.
