Following a wonderfully insightful first session with acclaimed animator and illustrator Qianhui Yu on October 2, we are delighted to announce a second event later this month!
On October 30, Qianhui will engage in a conversation with Abigail Addison, a producer at Animate Projects. They will provide a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at her new film, Statue in the Garden, which poetically explores themes of migration, isolation, and belonging.
Based in Stoke-on-Trent, Qianhui Yu is a renowned animation director and illustrator. Her work has been featured in notable publications, including The New York Times Book Review, Penguin Random House, and Bloomberg Businessweek. Her latest film is being produced by Derby-based Animate Projects, with support from Film Hub Midlands as part of the BFI NETWORK.
Admission is free, and refreshments will be provided. However, spaces are limited, so please book early.
