Did you know that our writing group members have gone on to start their own collectives, win writing competitions and get published?

In each session, your young writer will take part in fun creative writing exercises and have the opportunity to share their writing if they would like to (although there is never any pressure). There will also be the opportunity to perform at events and take part in work experience opportunities.

Our Mansfield Young Writers’ Group takes place at Mansfield Palace Theatre on Thursdays from 6.30 – 8 pm on the following dates 2025-26:

Whether your young person loves to write, or they’re looking for something new to try, ALL are welcome. And don’t worry if you can’t make all the workshop dates! Sessions are planned as one-off meetings so you don’t have to commit to the whole programme if your young person has a busy schedule.
