Free, Online Creative Writing Workshops for Global Majority, Autistic Writers

Join writers Antonia King and Nisreen Fox for a series of twice-a-month creative writing workshops aimed at Autistic and Global Majority writers. Workshops take place online for 2.5 hours at a time and are 100% free. Each session, Antonia and Nisreen will walk you through creative writing exercises to inspire you and encourage your creativity, after which you will have the option to share your writing if you would like among likeminded writers in a safe and open environment.

While the group is aimed at Autistic and Global Majority writers, you will not be expected to right about these parts of your identity if you do not wish to. All topics, genres and forms of writing are welcome—whether that’s poetry, fantasy, memoir or otherwise.

This group is for autistic adults from Global Majority backgrounds (also referred to as Black, Asian, Brown, dual-heritage, Indigenous, and people of colour) who live in England. This is because even within Autistic and Neurodivergent communities, white experiences and voices often dominate. For people who are both neurodivergent and racialised, perspectives can be overlooked or misunderstood. This space exists to honour that intersection — offering a place where your full identities are seen, valued, and reflected in the community around us.

Workshops take place online, twice a month on Tuesday evenings from 6 – 8.30 pm, starting in October. Don’t worry if you can’t make them all! Sessions are designed as standalone, so if you sign up late or you need to miss one for any reason, there’s absolutely no pressure.
