Applications NOW OPEN!
The BFI Film Academy Short Course is back at QUAD this October and applications are now open for young people aged 16-19* to take part.
The BFI Film Academy Short Course is designed to train and inspire the next generation of UK filmmakers, supporting young people to develop the creative, commercial and cultural knowledge and skills to take their first steps into a career in the film industry.
In addition to learning from industry professionals through masterclasses and networking with guest speakers, the BFI Film Academy Short Course at Derby QUAD includes hands-on development of practical filmmaking knowledge and skills with collaboration at the forefront.
Qualifications or previous experience aren’t required to take part – just a passion for filmmaking and a willingness to learn. So apply now to meet fellow creatives, build your filmmaking portfolio and make a short film to be screened in QUAD’s largest cinema.
*Young people aged up to 25 with an EHCP are eligible to apply
