Journal released by the University of Derby’s School of Arts Research (SOAR) undergrads and MA students

At the end of an academic year, the University of Derby produces a School of Arts Research (SOAR) Journal which comprises extracts from the student’s written coursework and creative work. The Journal demonstrates the ways in which creative practice can be approached and represents examples of the third year and post-graduate students’ creativity within various projects.

Students from across various courses within the University’s School of Arts, including areas such as Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Fashion, Illustration, Photography, Film Production, Film and Television Studies, Animation, and Interior Design share their thoughts on a variety of subjects from greenwashing in the fashion industry, to art therapy, and AI in the photographic industry.

The journal, consisting of a range of thought-provoking extracts from third year undergraduate and Masters students’ coursework within the University of Derby’s School of Arts, has been designed by students within the School of Arts and edited by Dr Teresa Forde with support from Senior Lecturer in Design, Kev Jones.
