Radical Body and Level Centre present:
Radical Bodies
20 April – 30 June
Level Centre, Old Station Close, Rowsley DE4 2EL
From PIP assessments, to media representation, to the opinions of strangers on the bus; so much of life as a disabled person is defined by the ways that other people see them. Consciously or not, most people have ideas about how they expect disabled people to look. Those who meet these expectations find that their abilities are dismissed, while those who fail to meet them find that their struggles are disregarded. Radical Bodies provides an opportunity for disabled people to define their own image through self-portraits. In sharing them, you’re invited to consider disabled people as they wish to be seen, rather than how you expect them to appear.
Entry is free! For more information visit: www.levelcentre.com/radical-
