Project co-ordinator for the proposed art trail, Alfreton, is a local artist/photographer/historian.
Alfreton is a town and area in Derbyshire, rich in history. Visited by famous writers such as D. H. Lawrence.

The first striking miner worked in Alfreton, John Marshall in 1912.
The Alfreton and District heritage trust museum is nearby and a site visit may be possible for inspiration.
