Rangoli is an ancient art form originating in the Indian subcontinent, in which symmetrical patterns are created on the floor usually at the entrance of a home during Diwali using materials, such as flowers, coloured sand, rice and pulses, to welcome the goddess of wealth and good luck. It represents the happiness, positivity and liveliness of a household.
