The Green Man Gallery

An exciting new gallery and studio in Buxton run by a collective of local artists and craftspeople. The gallery is open to the public every day from 11.30am to 5.30pm and can also be hired for evening events. There is a lift to all floors. Spaces for hire: 1. The Amber Room (1st floor): A dedicated exhibition area for guest artists on the first floor. Currently displays the work of 5/6 local guest artists in an exhibition which changes every month. If you are interested in hiring this space for an exhibition, please contact us to discuss your requirements. 2. Workshop Area (2nd floor): Equipped with work tables and chairs. Suitable for all types of visual arts and craft workshops, writing workshops and meetings. Capacity: up to 10 for workshops, 15 for meetings. 3. First Floor Gallery: Three open plan 'rooms'. Suitable for 'clean' workshops (e.g. singing, writing), for meetings, presentations and receptions. Chairs/tables available. (NB This gallery is public during our opening hours.) 4. Ground Floor: Available for evening hire only. Large L-shaped area suitable for receptions, presentations, meetings, music, spoken word and small-scale theatre performances. Measurements provided on request. Temporary event licence required.
