Derbyshire Dance Group was set up to bring together stakeholders involved with dance throughout the county and city. It works to improve information sharing, event planning and helps identify areas for joint working.
Members of the group include independent dance artists, dance organisations, arts development officers, school sports partnership development managers, Derbyshire Sport and dance venues.
Déda is a regularly-funded organisation of Derby City Council and Arts Council England, East Midlands. Déda is central to the dance provision of the city. The facility offers: 134 seat studio theatre, two dance studios, meeting room, office space, café/bar (The Cube). The main business areas of the organisation are: Performance, dance development, classes and workshops, performance programme and commercial activity.
