All Dance was a two-year programme (2017-2019) of dance activities for people with disabilities across Derbyshire, with the aim of providing opportunities for participants to devise and perform their own dance pieces.
Each year we worked with around 8 groups, one from each District / Borough in the county.
Professional specialist dance artists worked with each group to enable them to devise and choreograph a new piece of dance over a period of 10 weeks, with a final sharing performance in early December (to link with the International Day of People with Disability) as a celebratory showcase event open to all participating groups.
The dance artists continued to work with the groups after the showcase events, to help them find ways of continuing to dance together.
