Audience Development

Over the past 10 years, Arts Derbyshire has run a series of programmes to help arts organisations find new ways of engaging with audiences and of promoting their activities.

Arts Derbyshire is currently taking part in Arts Council England's national audience data collection and analysis programme, which is called Audience Finder, and is run by The Audience Agency. This will provide arts organisations and companies in Derbyshire with much more detailed information about their audiences than is currently available. Some of that data is publicly available on the Audience Finder website here: This website is also a really good source of information and resources about audience development.

Here are some links to other useful resources, created by Arts Derbyshire's previous programmes:

  • Copyright - an introduction to copyright and what it means to artists. (Word doc 150 KB) (pdf 103 KB)
